Saturday morning, Oct. 21

Business Meeting, Kids’ Club, Saturday Afternoon Entertainment

Business meeting

As a member-owned not-for-profit life insurance organization, Gleaner is accountable to and governed by its members. The business meeting is at the very heart of the convention. It’s where delegates elect board members and vote on changes to Gleaner’s Constitution and By-Laws.

Kids’ Club

We have something for the kids, too. While Gleaner members are away at the business meeting and evening events, feel free to drop your children at the Kids’ Club for time to play.

Saturday afternoon, Oct. 21

Amenities at Loews Rosemont include shuttle service, its Art Museo featuring local artists, a fitness center, and a special pet program for guests traveling with their pets.

Although Rosemont is one of the smaller communities in metro Chicago with just 4,000 residents, it boasts about four dozen restaurants, 15 hotels, Allstate Arena, minor league sports teams and much more.

Saturday evening, Oct. 21

President’s Reception, Evening Entertainment:
Wedding reception for “Tony and Tina’s Wedding”, Saturday Night Kids’ Club

Wedding reception for "Tony and Tina's Wedding"

This improvisational comedy debuted in 1985 in Manhattan and since then has been presented in more than 150 cities worldwide. It is “environmental/immersive theatre” that treats the audience as guests at a mock Italian-American wedding and reception. Members will enjoy the warm stereotypes brought to life by the Chicago cast. The Chicago Tribune has described it as, “Just like a real wedding … only funnier.”

Saturday Night Kids’ Club (ages 5-12)

Children are welcome to evening Kids' Club where they will enjoy fun activities.

Sunday, Oct. 22

Charity Auction Pick-Up, Afterglow Program

After picking up your auction items, help us wrap up our convention weekend at the Afterglow Program. Join us as we present our arbors’ Treasure Totes to local organizations.
