Dear Member,

This year marks a historic milestone in the governance of Gleaner Life Insurance Society. For the first time in over 130 years, every eligible benefit member is invited to vote directly in the election of the Board of Directors. This change reflects our ongoing commitment to transparency, accountability, and our enduring motto: Prudens Futuri — Thoughtful for the Future.
This new process is dictated by our newly revised Constitution, which was approved in February 2025 with overwhelming support by our former voting delegates. It empowers all benefit members to have a direct voice in the selection of the Society’s leadership — bringing Gleaner’s governance closer to the members it serves.
We take this moment to thank our voting delegates for having the wisdom and foresight to enact such significant changes.
As part of this transformation, the revised Constitution requires a rigorous, impartial candidate vetting process. To meet this obligation, the Society engaged an independent third-party firm to review all Board of Director applications, resumes, autobiographies, and conduct individual candidate interviews.
Of the six individuals who applied, four were deemed to have met the established qualifications necessary to be placed on the ballot. The Board of Directors does not have the authority to add or delete candidates. There was no fixed number of candidates required; theoretically, all six or none could have been placed on the ballot depending on their qualifications.
On the following page, you will find autobiographies of the four qualifying candidates. Each brings a unique blend of professional experience and dedication to Gleaner’s mission of fraternal service and financial security. We encourage you to read their backgrounds carefully before casting your vote.
Please remember:
- Ballots must be received no later than June 30.
- Eligible Benefit Members are those holding an annuity or in-force life insurance certificate — excluding members who only hold a Just for Kids or FAB5 (lifetime membership) certificate, unless they are also serving as an Arbor officer at the time of the election.
Your participation in this election is vital to the future of Gleaner Life. Thank you for your membership and for lending your voice to this new era of member-driven governance.
With appreciation,
Todd M. Warner
