Much of what makes Gleaner what it is today was set in motion more than 128 years ago when Grant Slocum, a farmer's son, had a vision for a fraternal society that would protect farmers and their families.

Gleaner Life names Todd Warner new president and CEO

Gleaner Life Insurance Society has appointed Todd M. Warner as the 11th president and CEO in the Society’s 130-year history.

Bethany Figg joins Gleaner Life Board of Directors

Representing a new generation of Gleaner Life members, Bethany Figg of Bridgeport, Michigan, is the newest member the Society’s Board of Directors. Figg was chosen July 1 to fill a vacant seat with a term that ends in October 2025.

Mirth and myth with the Gleaner goat

Life for farm families in the 1890s was difficult and dreary. A friendly get-together and wild stories were appreciated around a potbelly stove, and it didn’t matter if the storytellers stretched facts into legends. So it was with “riding the Gleaner goat” as an initiation.
