Benny's Cheerio™ bird feeder activity

Benny the Benevolent Lion recently shared an easy springtime activity for kids of all ages. 

You will need:

• Pipe cleaners (or plain wire for older kids)
• Cheerios
• Ribbon

Instructions:

1. Thread Cheerios onto the pipe cleaner. Leave a little space at each end so you have room to work with at the end.
2. Carefully bend the pipe cleaner into the shape of a heart. Tip: Fold the pipe cleaner in half before putting on the Cheerios. The fold then becomes the top of the heart.
3. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 a few more times until you have your desired number of hearts.
4. Connect your hearts, and twist the ends of the pipe cleaners to close each heart.
5. Attach a ribbon to the top, and find a nice spot to hang your bird feeder outside.
