Marti elected vice chair of American Fraternal Alliance Board

The American Fraternal Alliance announced at its 2016 annual meeting, Sept. 10, in Nashville, Tennessee, that Kevin A. Marti was installed as vice chair of the alliance’s board of directors.

“The alliance and its member societies congratulate Kevin on his election to serve as vice chair of the board,” said alliance President and CEO Joseph J. Annotti. “The alliance and its board of directors are dedicated to providing our members with the tools they need to thrive as a modern and financially sound fraternal benefit society.”

As vice chair, Marti will provide strategic direction to the association that represents 64 fraternal benefit societies. Fraternal benefit societies are not-for-profit membership organizations offering volunteer, social and networking opportunities, along with insurance and other financial products.

“I am honored to serve on this board of directors, and in this role as vice chair, for this critically important organization that is committed to the future success of the fraternal benefit system and societies across the U.S. and Canada,” said Marti, president and CEO of Gleaner Life Insurance Society.

Marti has served as the ninth president and CEO of Gleaner Life Insurance Society since June 2012. He earned a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, where he graduated summa cum laude. He holds the designations of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and Fellow of Society of Actuaries (FSA), and is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
