Try Benny's summertime parfait recipe

Benny the Benevolent Lion shared a summertime parfait recipe in the summer 2018 issue of Forum Magazine. See Benny's tips and recipe below.
It’s a great time of year to enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables. Here’s a fun idea: The next time your mom and dad head to the farmers market, ask if you can tag along to pick out your favorite fruits. You’ll probably find strawberries, blueberries, peaches and watermelon. These fresh treats are good for you and make healthy snacks. They also are great toppings for yogurt and ice cream parfaits. Check out the easy summer recipe below, and ask an adult to help you put it all together.

Summertime parfait
Fresh fruit (berries and other summer favorites)
Granola
Dried fruit
Nuts
Vanilla yogurt
Don’t forget to wash your hands before you start. Next, you’ll want to wash the fruit to remove dirt and germs. Place several small bowls on your counter or workstation. Next, ask an adult to cut fruit or help you cut the fruit into small pieces. Place the cut fruit in the bowls. You can also add bowls of granola or dried berries and nuts. Don’t forget the yogurt!
Now comes the fun part. Grab your bowl or cup, and create your perfect parfait. First, add a little yogurt and then some fruit. Repeat until you’re satisfied.
This easy recipe makes a great breakfast or dessert on a summer night.
