A road map for arbors
Gleaner's Samaritan program is an open-ended road map offering arbors a path for helping their communities. The program provides arbors with suggested activity options from patriotic activities to supporting youth and the elderly while remaining broad enough to meet their community's individual needs.
Each Gleaner arbor, through monthly meetings and activities, develops its own local interests and community purpose. Through donations of time, work and money, worthwhile projects take place on behalf of hundreds of local civic and charitable causes. The 12-month Samaritan program allows arbors to earn funds based on their level of activities and services that result in funds to be used for projects and donations within their communities.
To help fund projects and activities, Gleaner provides arbors with seed money each year. In addition, arbors can earn additional funds by completing activities outlined in the Samaritan program.
